Trade show I planned for Brimms Inc. |
Later in my career, I worked as a public information consultant for the New York State Department of Transportation on a multi-million dollar environmental impact study. One of my most difficult jobs yet, I was responsible for coordinating community information events, public meetings, press conferences, site tours and stakeholder events. This involved a whole new level of coordination, knowledge of public policy and superior communications skills.
After working in marketing and public relations for 10 years, I opened an interiors and

events management firm. As a turnkey operation, I managed events from planning stage to final implementation and on-site management. Typical events included corporate meetings and product launch events, residential parties, non-profit fundraisers, and annual sales events. As a partner / operator of the business, I developed critical business skills that are essential to events management such as accounting, revenue management, client relations, and project management.
